Borgwal Renovaties takes your privacy seriously. This policy clearly explains which personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data do we collect?
We only collect the data you provide to us through our forms:
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message.
- Simulation form: the photos you upload, the room type, the desired style, your postal code, name, email address, phone number and any extra information.
- Technical data your browser sends automatically (such as your IP address), needed to run and secure the website.
What do we use your data for?
- To respond to your enquiry and get in touch with you.
- To prepare a personalised renovation proposal based on your photos and preferences.
- To keep the website secure and working (including protection against abuse and spam).
On what legal basis?
We process your data on the basis of your consent (given by submitting the form and ticking the box) and/or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. For website security we rely on our legitimate interest.
How long do we keep your data?
We keep your data no longer than necessary for the purposes above. Enquiries that do not lead to a collaboration are deleted within a reasonable period. Customer data is kept as long as needed to carry out the assignment and in line with statutory retention periods (including accounting).
Who do we share your data with?
We never sell your data. We do rely on a small number of trusted processors that help us run the website and forms:
- Vercel (website hosting and form processing).
- Neon (database where enquiries are stored).
- Vercel Blob (storage of the photos you upload).
- Resend (sending email notifications about your enquiry).
- Vercel BotID and Upstash (security against automated abuse and spam).
Is your data processed outside the EU?
Our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, it is done with appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
What are your rights?
At any time you have the right to:
- Access your data.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data erased.
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Data portability.
- Withdraw your consent, without affecting earlier processing.
